                  Home of the Blue Devils

At Conecuh County Junior High School, we support our students’ educational journeys by fostering their development of “growth mindsets.” Rather than believing that talent or intelligence is fixed, we believe that regardless of their backgrounds, students can grow their talents and intelligence. All students can develop skills like perseverance, resourcefulness, responsibility, and empathy; qualities that matter wherever their personal journeys take them. We ultimately desire for students to develop into quality people who create meaningful lives for themselves and make a difference in the lives of others.

It is the start of an amazing!!! year and I am honored to accept the highly prestigious job as your principal at CCJHS. Conecuh County Jr. High is a very special place that has an untold story that I plan to share with the world. It is a place where students can inquire, explore, and contribute on a daily basis. Our goal is to everyday, provide a safe, loving, and challenging environment where students become risk takers, critical thinkers, problem solvers and motivated learners. I have an awesome year planned and am delighted to have such a wonderful staff who make it their business to put children first. I can see that many of us have bought in to the "Reclaim the Castle" theme and plan to "do what ever it takes" to make sure teaching and learning is occurring at all times. Yes, I have some high expectations for students, staff, and myself; but I rather them be too high than too low. That way, I know we will meet the needs of all our incredible students. I feel that this year will mark a turning point in the trajectory of CCJHS''s future. Together with you, parents and the community; anything is possible. I thank Dr. Byrd, and Mrs.Baggett for creating a culture that WILL be sustained for a long time. Remember, "Teamwork makes the dream work".
